It does not extend to the end of the slide so comp cuts on the slide are beyond the barrel and does act as a comp. Rather than screwing a comp on the end of a threaded barrel, in the XMacro Comp it is built into the slide.Tested macro barrel and saw velocity was lower with 124 hst than what I had with old Xl barrel. I compared the P365 X Macro comp and the P365 X Macro TacOps back to back recently, as well as the P365 X Macro comp and the Shield Plus. I found from those comparisons the comp does seem to affect the felt recoil, at least a bit and that I preferred the X Macro comp over my Shield Plus.
